Dearest Lindy, it's really hard to think that you're gone so quickly, and that all your love, knowledge and passion for the world are extinct. You have taught us so much on so many levels, and you have protected us and been so incredibly generous, putting us - your children - at the centre of your life for so long. I do feel you will live on through your children and our children - and also the good deeds and love you brought to the world. You also inhabit our memories and our imaginations - and perhaps as you said in your last days, your spirit is free now to mingle with the benign force of the universe. I feel personally affronted by cancer of course, it's now taken you and dad, and you both dedicated such important parts of your lives to fighting it. I'm appalled it could bring down such a strong and vital spirit as you in the end. As for us who remain, we will honour and cherish your memory and will fight for the values you taught us in our own ways. Love you so much mum. Dan
